The protection of your personal data is important to us. According to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are obliged to inform you about the purpose for which our centre collects, stores or forwards data. The information also tells you what rights you have with regard to data protection.

2. purpose of data processing
Data processing is carried out on the basis of legal requirements in order to fulfil the treatment contract between you and the CIC and the associated obligations.
For this purpose, we process your personal data, in particular your health data. This includes, for example, medical histories, diagnoses, therapy suggestions and findings that we collect.
For these purposes, other doctors with whom you are receiving treatment may also provide us with data (e.g. in medical reports).
The collection of health data is a prerequisite for your treatment. If the necessary information is not provided, careful treatment cannot take place.
In addition to this patient-related processing, administrative processing of your treatment is also required. This essentially requires the processing of your data for the billing of your treatment, for reasons of controlling/auditing, for the assertion, exercise and defence of legal claims and the fulfilment of legal requirements for verification and documentation.
3. who has access to your data
The persons involved in your treatment have access to your data or the administration that handles the billing of your treatment. Your data will be processed by specialised personnel or under their responsibility. These specialists are either subject to professional secrecy or a duty of confidentiality. The confidential handling of your data is guaranteed!
4. recipient of your data
We only transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if you have given your consent.
Recipients of your personal data may include, in particular, other doctors, health insurance companies, the medical service of health insurance companies or health insurance billing centres.
The data is mainly transferred in connection with your treatment, for the purpose of invoicing the services provided to you, to clarify medical questions and questions arising from your insurance relationship. In individual cases, data may be transferred to other authorised recipients.
5. storage of your data
The following data is stored by the CIC:
Your master data (surname, first name, date and place of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail address, social history, health insurance membership and insurance number)
Rehabilitation-related data (referring doctor, health data, diagnoses, audiometry data, medical reports, documentation on the course of rehabilitation, cost coverage by the health insurance company)
Other data (support facilities, order processes from CI manufacturers, technical data)
Due to legal requirements, we are obliged to retain some of this data for at least 10 years after the end of treatment.
6. your rights
You have the right to receive information about the personal data concerning you. You can also request the correction of incorrect data.
In addition, under certain conditions, you have the right to erasure of data, the right to restriction of data processing and the right to data portability.
Your data is processed on the basis of legal regulations. We only require your consent in exceptional cases. In these cases, you have the right to withdraw your consent for future processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority if you believe that your personal data is being processed unlawfully.
